Frac-920 is an automated fraction collector for robust and reliable collection of fractions based on time or volume. Frac-920 can be used with ÄKTAdesign chromatography system or as a stand-alone instrument. It has carousel design and a small footprint.

Fraction collector Frac-920 can collect up to 175 fractions in 12-mm diameter tubes, up to 95 fractions in 10-18 mm diameter tubes, and up to 40 fractions in 30-mm diameter tubes.
Fraction Collector Frac-920 has advanced functionality and design that makes it highly suitable for lab scale chromatography. The fraction collector is programmable and easy to use in connection with UNICORN software and ÄKTAdesign chromatography systems or as a standalone instrument. The robust design with a minimized footprint also saves bench space.
Fixed volume and time fractionation as well as automatic peak fractionation are possible. Peak fractionation is based on peak detection using slope or level sensing and event marks clearly identify the fractions and peaks. Frac-920 can be used with three different tube racks to allow collection of up to 95 fractions in 10-18 mm diameter tubes, up to 175 fractions in 12 mm diameter tubes, or up to 40 fractions in 30 mm tubes. The 18 mm tube rack is included with the sytem and an optional FV-923 valve allows flow diversion to waste.
